• Performs preliminary duties Greets patients professionally, cheerfully, and in a timely manner • Verifies patient’s insurance coverage • Obtains authorizations Pulls previous files • Updates patient demographics as needed • Verifies HIPAA and Privacy signatures are obtained • Answers phone promptly and professionally • Makes appointments for lens technician and I&R training • Takes messages and follows through • Handles customer needs and requests efficiently • Promptly and cheerfully assists patients with frame selection •
