Welcome to our Critical Care Nursing Department!
Provides professional and skilled nursing care to patients using the “patient centered care” model of SMHCS (policy 126.054) in accordance with the ANA and AACN’s Standards of Professional Practice. We are a 62 bed unit with 3 areas of specialties that you can work in.
CVICU:
Patient Population
: patients with a primary diagnosis of advanced cardiovascular disease requiring complex nursing assessment skills and care including but not limited to:
Post Open Heart Surgical patient recovery
Cardiac Arrest
- Left Ventricular Assist Device Care: Impella & IABP
