Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures.
- Prepare patients, treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
- Take dental X-rays and perform other functions permitted by Illinois law based on your training and credentials.
- Help patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident throughout their visit.
- Reinforce oral hygiene, treatment, and home-care instructions.
- Follow infection-control, sterilization, and safety protocols.
- Maintain organized, stocked, and procedure-ready treatment rooms.
- Anticipate the needs of the dentist and patients to help the clinical schedule run efficiently.
- Partner with the front office and clinical team to create a seamless patient experience.
Qualifications
- Meets Wisconsin dental assistant requirements for assigned duties.
- Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain before starting.
- Strong communication and patient-service skills.
- Organized, dependable, and able to thrive in a busy dental environment.
- A collaborative attitude and willingness to jump in and support the team.
- Previous dental assisting experience is valued, but most importantly, we're looking for someone committed to excellent patient care.
