Analytics Engineer at CAPTRUST | LAYIQ

Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, computer science, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, business intelligence, data engineering, or a closely related role.
Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex transformations, aggregations, and windowing logic.
Strong hands-on experience with dbt, including model development, refactoring, documentation, sources, and tests.
Solid understanding of analytical data modeling concepts and best practices.
Ability to translate business concepts into structured, analytics-ready data models.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain data logic in business terms.
Desired Qualifications/Skills: Experience working in a modern analytics stack (e.g., cloud data warehouse, dbt, BI tools).
Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI semantic models, or similar analytics platforms.
Experience partnering closely with Data Engineers and Data Quality roles in a team-based analytics delivery model.
Exposure to data governance concepts such as definitions, lineage, stewardship, and certified metrics.
Comfort operating in environments with evolving requirements and helping bring clarity through modeling standards
High standard of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
