Admitting Clerk (Per-Diem)

8-hr shifts | PER-DIEM | AM Shift

Pay Range: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

We have a Per-Diem opening for an Admitting Clerk.

What You’ll Do:

• The Admitting Clerk is responsible for: Admitting patients by gathering and recording physician, patient, and payment responsibility information
• Verify patient insurance and personal identification documents
• Ensure registration forms are properly signed
• Providing hospital and hospital services information, and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Education & Experience: High school, GED, or equivalent required
• College degree preferred
• Must have at least 6 months experience in healthcare admitting and insurance verification
• Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to concentrate on task in high traffic areas
• Therapeutic Options™ training to be obtained prior to providing direct patient care without a preceptor
