Baystate Interpreters, Inc. is a Language Service Provider located in Gardner, MA, providing high-quality translation and interpretation services in more than 350 languages. We are currently seeking a full-time, in-office Accounting Assistant to support the Accounting Department and help maintain accurate and efficient financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Accounting Department with daily, monthly, and annual accounting procedures.
• Maintain accurate and complete financial and accounting records.
• Process bi-weekly payments for 1099 independent contractor vendors.
• Communicate with customers regarding account status, charges, payments, and discrepancies.
• Process payments and deposits.
• Prepare and process invoices and customer statements.
• Assist with accounts receivable and collections.
• Research and resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial information.
• Provide general administrative support to the Accounting Department as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

• QuickBooks experience required or strongly preferred. Willing to train.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and applicable financial regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong mathematical and research skills.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with bookkeeping or accounting software.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to analyze financial and other business data accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.
