Job Description

Fully remote role has you preparing individual and business tax returns, handling off-season projects like tax projections, notice resolution, and communicating directly with clients. If interested chance to learn review work with advancement opportunity.

Prepare individual and business tax returns. 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S (preparation of 990, 1041, 706 and 709 returns nice to have)

Some preparation of more complex tax returns to include multi-state, flow through entities, multi-tiered partnerships and consolidated corporations.

Assist with off season projects such as tax projections, reasonable compensation studies, tax notice resolution.

Conduct tax research as needed

Handle client communications through portal messaging, phone calls, and video meetings

Requirements

• 3-5 years of recent tax experience in a public accounting firm
• Ability to work independently as well as the ability to work well with clients and team members
• Past experience working in a fully remote workspace
• Comfortable working directly with clients, explaining complex tax issues in easy-to-understand terms
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Technically strong
• Enjoys working in a technology-friendly environment
• Must have CPA firm experience
