The Materials Planner is an experienced individual contributor responsible for planning and coordinating material availability to support production schedules, program milestones, and customer requirements. This position translates demand into material plans, identifies shortages and supply risks, and coordinates actions with procurement, production, engineering, quality, and program management.
The role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and experience using material requirements planning (MRP) systems to balance delivery commitments, inventory investment, and changing priorities. The Materials Planner III independently manages complex planning assignments, improves planning processes, and mentors less experienced team members.
