The Field Supervisor (FS) is the frontline supervisory leader responsible for providing direct, real-time operational leadership and oversight of daily EMS field activities within a high-volume interfacility transport (IFT) and 911 response system. Assigned to a specific geographic zone and shift, the FS ensures safe, efficient, and protocol-compliant operations through consistent deployment, staffing, and unit utilization while maintaining compliance with clinical, operational, and documentation standards.
Each Field Supervisor personally owns a defined set of Northwest Ambulance units and is directly accountable for crew performance, clinical quality, documentation accuracy, professional conduct, and annual performance evaluations for assigned personnel. The FS supports crews through real-time problem solving, coaching, and conflict resolution; responds effectively to incidents, staffing challenges, service disruptions, and overtime concerns; and enforces company policies across all shifts.
