Charge RN
Part Time I First Shift
Emergency Department I Georgetown, Ky
Description:
Manages shift operations for department/unit, adjusting staff assignments as acuity, census, staffing and priorities change, Assists in identifying staff to supplement schedule, including call-in coverage. Communicates all staffing schedule changes to Clinical House Supervisor and/or Staffing Office.
Coordinates meal and break time for all assigned staff.
Delegates responsibilities within scope of practice and provides guidance to co-workers in assessment, clinical skills, and problem solving and networks with preceptors of new staff to facilitate orientation.
Collaborates with all disciplines and departments to resolve issues affecting patient flow and throughput.
Rounds with a purpose utilizing key questions to obtain feedback from patients and families.
