Expeditor/Material Handler (Tube Shop) - A Shift at Blue Origin | LAYIQ

High School Diploma or GED.
Strong attention to detail, desire to solve problems, and drive to resolve technical issues.
Ability to work on a production floor, including standing, walking, and physically verifying hardware/material across multiple work centers throughout a full shift.
Ability to lift items up to 40 lbs. and use lifting equipment/machinery for heavier material.
Basic inventory/material-tracking aptitude; comfortable working with counts, part numbers, and locations.
Strong work ethic, proven ability to follow direction, and meet expectations.
Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to interface and coordinate with Production Control, Suppliers, and Warehouse personnel.
Ability to interface with software systems, databases (e.g., ERP/inventory systems), and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, packing slips, drawings, and safety regulations.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired: Experience in an aerospace manufacturing, tube shop, or fast-paced R&D environment.
Experience with production control, expediting, or warehouse/inventory functions.
Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts.
Familiarity with raw material/fittings used in tube fabrication (e.g., stainless tube stock, orbital weld fittings).
Excellent attention to detail and ability to adapt to change.

Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing, vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
