Thermal Engineer I - Early Career (2027 Starts) at Blue Origin | LAYIQ

B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering discipline
Will have earned their degree within the last year and able to start by Fall 2027.
Coursework or project experience in thermodynamics, heat transfer, or fluid mechanics
Familiarity with CAD software (Creo, SolidWorks, NX, or similar)
Basic understanding of engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
Preferred Skills and Experience: Internship or co-op experience in aerospace or related industry
Hands-on experience building or testing hardware (academic projects, clubs, competitions)
Exposure to thermal analysis software (Thermal Desktop, ANSYS, or similar)
Experience with 3D CAD modeling
Familiarity with spacecraft thermal control concepts and hardware
Understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability
Experience with data acquisition and test equipment
Involvement in student engineering organizations (AIAA, SAE, rocketry clubs, etc.)
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
Base Pay Range for: CO applicants is $80,499.00 - $112,697.55
WA applicants is $87,816.00 - $122,942.40

Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing, vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
