The Director of Development performs as a member of the development team, reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor of Development and Marketing. The position is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive major gift program, including identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospective donors. This position will primarily work within its assigned schools: the School of Nursing, the School of Health Sciences, and the School of Public Affairs and Social Services.
The Director of Development will be responsible for donation solicitations primarily between $5,000 and $50,000. In coordination with the Vice Chancellor of Development and Marketing and foundation staff, the position helps oversee the impact of special/overarching funding priorities such as mental health services support, select cohort scholarship programs, and the laptop scholarship program.
