The SIM Technician is responsible for managing, operating, and maintaining simulation equipment and technologies used in nursing education. This role supports faculty and students and is integral to the success of simulation-based nursing education, providing vital technical expertise to ensure that simulation experiences are realistic, educational, and effective.
Pay: $20.00/hour
Major Responsibilities:
- Support daily operations of clinical simulation lab
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during simulations
- Assure facility and equipment are organized and prepared for teaching sessions by preassembly of props, moulage, learning materials, and documentation
- Operate simulation console and software, audio/visual equipment, debriefing equipment, and human patient simulator
- Assist faculty in monitoring students’ safety
