About the Role
Firebird is a music company built on a simple bet: that artists are worth investing in for the long haul. We operate three business lines — artist management, recorded music & publishing, and expanded rights & brands — backed by sharp, hands-on shared services across audience insights, business affairs, corporate finance, label services, and operations.
We’re looking for a VP, Business & Legal Affairs to serve as Firebird’s in-house counsel and strategic business partner across our labels and publishing companies. This is a hands-on role for someone who can move fluidly between the details of individual deals and the broader view of how work flows across the business. You’ll lead negotiations, manage contracts, and provide timely, high-quality legal guidance across our roster while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
The right candidate will be energized by execution-focused dealmaking today and have the range to take on broader responsibilities as the function evolves. You’ll also look ahead, finding smarter ways to work, including using AI to streamline contract review, drafting, and tracking, so the team can scale smoothly as deal volume grows.
