Business Analyst

Position Overview

CADRE is seeking a Business Analyst to support cross-functional delivery teams responsible for gathering, analyzing, and translating business needs into actionable requirements across federal IT modernization initiatives. This role serves as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring solutions align with mission objectives, regulatory requirements, and user needs in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

• · Engage with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• · Translate business needs into clear user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• · Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder meetings, and backlog refinement sessions.
• · Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• · Support prioritization of requirements in collaboration with Product Owners and stakeholders.
• · Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
• · Collaborate with development, QA, and UX teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements.
• · Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate delivered solutions meet business needs.
• · Maintain documentation including business requirements documents (BRDs), process flows, and functional specifications.
• Required Qualifications
• · 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role.
• · Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
• · Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• · Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
• · Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• · Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• · Experience working in structured or regulated environments.
• · Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• · Experience supporting federal government contracts or public-sector initiatives.
• · Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• · Experience with process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
• · Knowledge of UX/UI principles or customer experience design.
• · Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile-related certifications.
