MUST HAVE:

Structural steel fabrication industry experience
Leadership experience overseeing welders and fitters
We are seeking an experienced

Fitting & Welding Foreman to lead second-shift operations in a structural steel fabrication shop. This is a hands-on supervisory position responsible for coordinating personnel, production activities, materials, equipment, quality, and schedules.

What You’ll Do: Lead and provide direction to welders, fitters, and other shop personnel
Oversee daily fabrication and production activities during 2nd Shift
Assign work and balance workloads based on production requirements
Monitor production and fabrication schedules and make adjustments when needed
Coordinate deliveries and help keep projects on schedule
Establish and communicate standard fabrication procedures
Monitor workmanship and enforce quality-control requirements
Identify ways to improve productivity, efficiency, employee performance, and finished-product quality
Coordinate with other departments and fabrication locations regarding production status, quality, materials, and delivery requirements
Maintain shop equipment, tools, and facilities as needed
Monitor inventory and coordinate material requirements with the First Shift Foreman, Operations Management, and Purchasing
Work with vendors and suppliers as necessary
Determine staffing and work hours needed to support delivery schedules
Keep management informed of workload, production concerns, and operational needs
Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and workplace standards
Make operational decisions that support production and company objectives
