About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled lab technician for our lab in Biotech and Smart Manufacturing. The lab technician will play a key role in supporting various projects by providing technical assistance, performing experiments, and maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment.
*Hands-on testing will be conducted in electronics, PLCs, and robotics.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist students and faculty in laboratory and projects.
Order, receive and check equipment and supplies, perform inventory control, perform minor repairs of lab equipment.
Provide lab support for classes held at 16 Tech and Glick Technology building always ensure safety.
Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety standards are met.
Assist in the development and optimization of experimental protocols and procedures.
Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and guidelines, including proper handling and disposal.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
2-3 years of experience in Industrial manufacturing, or equivalent training preferred.
Previous experience working in a laboratory setting is preferred.
Strong understanding of basic laboratory techniques and procedures.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Training and/or experience repairing industrial manufacturing equipment
Industrial robotics programing and network I/O management preferred but not required.
Hands-on testing will be conducted in electronics, PLCs, and robotics.
