The Role

We're looking for a Technical Writer to own Nametag’s technical documentation for customers to  You will write user manuals, step-by-step instructions, and FAQs so our users can use our software with ease

This is a hands-on, high-impact role. You'll work closely with engineering and product leadership to make critical decisions about how we guide our customers, and then execute on them. If you've thrived in fast-moving environments and care deeply about process documentation and customer experience, we'd love to meet you.

What you’ll do

• Create and Maintain User Documentation
• Write user manuals, API guides, release notes, and online help FAQs.
• Follow and maintain company style guides to ensure consistent messaging across all documents.
• Review existing documentation regularly to fix errors and add new feature updates.
• Analyze feedback
• Use customer support data to improve confusing parts of the guides.
• Track page views and user ratings to measure document helpfulness.
• Audit systems
• Test software directly to ensure the accuracy of the steps written in the manuals.

What You Bring

• Work authorization required: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future need for visa sponsorship.
• You do not need to match every bullet. We care most about strong judgment and process documentation ownership.
• 5+ years of experience turning complex processes into simple documentation.
• Understanding user experience principles to layout articles intuitively.
• Experience working within fast-paced software development cycles and sprints.
• Knowledge of languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or Python to document APIs.
• Bonus Points: Experience working in a security, identity, or B2B SaaS environment.
