Responsibilities

• Mimi L. Smith & Associates, in-house counsel for State Farm, announces the Summer 2027 Intern Program for the Orlando, Florida, Claims Litigation Counsel office. Claims Litigation Counsel attorneys defend State Farm and its customers who have been sued. Summer interns work with attorneys on assigned projects, attend case events, and observe every phase of the litigation process. They benefit from mentoring throughout the summer, gain a balanced and realistic understanding of the function of Claims Litigation Counsel, and develop real-world civil litigation skills. This full-time internship runs from Wednesday, June 2, 2027, through Wednesday, August 11, 2027. The Summer Intern selected will receive a $2,000 Intern Stipend. We work in a hybrid environment with some required presence in the office. Work arrangements could change over time based on business needs.
