Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing a variety of technical and administrative support for the human resource department. Acts as an HR liaison to employees, management, and various external vendors with primary focus on employee benefits administration. Troubleshoots and resolves various benefits and human resource issues using current policies, plan documents, and departmental guidelines.
The HR Support Specialist (Benefits) serves as a primary point of contact for employees and leaders, providing responsive customer service and Tier 1 support for benefits and general human resources inquiries. This position uses PeopleSoft Benefits Administration to process benefit events and transactions, maintain accurate employee information, and support benefits eligibility and enrollment.
The specialist researches and resolves routine questions, coordinates with internal teams and external vendors, and applies established policies, benefit plan documents, and departmental guidelines to provide accurate information and determine when an issue requires escalation.
