We are proud to be a military and veteran friendly employer. About This Position This position is working inside a jail/correctional facility at the Chesapeake City Jail. We are looking for a Baker to join our team! The baker will follow recipes and menus, cut baked goods, perform quality checks on ingredients and finished products, use icing and glazes to enhance item presentation. You will also be responsible to clean workstations and equipment as well perform other responsibilities to ensure that all meals go out smoothly.
You will report to a Food Service Director. This position is located onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility. Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities Prepare a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus. Refer to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned tasks and complete opening and closing checklists daily. Know and comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, recipes and procedures.
