Barnes‑Jewish Hospital’s Outpatient Infusion Center in Sunset Hills is seeking a nationally certified Pharmacy Technician to join our experienced team. This role offers a opportunity, combining retail pharmacy support with inpatient sterile compounding responsibilities, making it an excellent fit for technicians looking to expand their skill set in a clinical environment.

Training & Location

Initial training will take place for 6–8 weeks at our Town and Country location

Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification required
• Pharmacy Technician License
• 2 years Pharmacy Technician exprience
• Schedule
• Monday–Friday
• 8‑hour shifts
• Varying start times between 6:30 AM – 8:30 AM
• Every 4th week includes a late shift: 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM

• Role Purpose
• The Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient 3, under the direct supervision a of staff pharmacist and according to standard procedures, provides cross coverage for multiple technician competencies or responsibilities within a focus area. This position serves as a department resource to answer questions and assists in resolving more complex issues. This position's responsibilities may include preparing medication orders, assisting in dispensing and transporting medications, conducting complex sterile and/or non-sterile compounding, inventory management, training, the use of various automated/electronic systems, and maintaining the required documentation & records.
