Deputy Director, GS2 Gen 1.X Program at Blue Origin | LAYIQ

Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in Engineering or a relevant technical field
12+ years of engineering or technical program management experience
Demonstrated experience as a senior individual contributor driving programmatic execution in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
Hands-on experience with project and performance management, integrated master scheduling, and budget management
Strong ability to synthesize complex technical and programmatic information and communicate clearly across all levels of the organization
Proven track record of identifying risks, developing mitigation strategies, and driving issue resolution
Ability to operate, make decisions, and drive forward progress in complex and ambiguous environments
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
Desired: Advanced degree or an equivalent background in Engineering or Aerospace
Master of Business Administration or MS in Engineering Management, or comparable professional experience
Direct experience with launch vehicle or space system integration and testing
Experience leveraging AI to drive efficiencies within the team, specifically around scope and project management
Experience across multiple portions of the product life cycle (design, analysis, manufacturing, integration, test, new product introduction, and recurring production)
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
Experience with scheduling and project management tools (such as Primavera P6, MS Project), and data management software (Confluence, Jira, Tableau, SQL)
Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma Black Belt, and/or Lean Manufacturing Certifications
Base Pay Range for: WA applicants is $169,624.00 - $237,473.25

Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing, vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
