Media Planner

We are seeking a Media Planner to join

In this role, you will design and execute integrated media plans across digital and traditional channels, partnering closely with internal teams, clients and external media partners. You will play a vital role in transforming brand ambitions into performance-driven strategies that deliver clear, measurable results.

The ideal candidate combines a solid foundation in media fundamentals with sharp analytical thinking and a genuine curiosity for uncovering answers through data. You are exceptionally organized, adaptable and energized by the momentum of a fast-moving agency. A natural problem-solver, you take true ownership of campaigns from concept through launch – anticipating challenges, exercising sharp judgment and collaborating seamlessly to deliver work that moves the needle.

Must be located in the greater Los Angeles area.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 20% Strategy & Planning

• Employs planning, evaluation and buying tools for application/analysis into competitive landscape, target digital consumption support, plan development and reporting
• Shows growing critical thinking and analysis to draw conclusions and construct actionable implications
• Begins the digital media plan development stage to collect RFP responses from partners / sites, assist in analyzing proposals and partner negotiations
• Evaluate vendor offerings and identify optimal media placements, negotiate rates,  and develop strategic approach that best meets client needs
• Builds initial media recommendation for media plan for review from managers
• Monitor trends, tools, opportunities and applications in paid social media environments, and appropriately apply that knowledge
• Compile updates on partner capabilities and offerings through vendor contact
• Participates in team brainstorms to kick off plan and consideration set development
• Support the training, onboarding and accuracy of work produced by Assistant Media Planner
• 25% Campaign Execution
• Traffic plan assets such as creative and required tracking tags
• Set up 3rd party ad server/tracker system: follows through to ensure sites are enabled, functioning properly and all materials are received from creative agency
• Executes Quality Assurance (QA) of tracking functionality and creative units to identify and solve any issues
• Creates campaign post launch information such as screenshots, links and placement information to demonstrate proof of placement for clients
• 30% Campaign Management
• Enters and manages plans in billing system (Advantage), tracks insertion orders, updates media authorizations, creative specifications development, and handles Traffic sheets/creative assignment as necessary
• Generates insertion orders within internal systems to reserve advertising space and is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of plan details and confirmation of delivery per protocol
• Maintain plan records, insertion orders, contact lists, spec documents etc.
• Creates creative allocation sheet and manage the process with Account, Production, and Analytics
• Manages day-to-day communication with key partners: Vendors, Partner Agencies and Creative media and social clients
• 25% Campaign Reporting & Insights
• Monitors reporting weekly, inclusive of aggregating information from third party servers and site direct reporting
• Compile client-facing reports that highlight campaign KPIs. You should be able to speak to what is performing well, as well as identify areas for ongoing data-driven optimizations
• Comfortable looking at data, developing reporting insights and providing recommended optimizations to improve campaign performance

REQUIREMENTS: 2+ years of experience with integrated media

• Experience with omnichannel media planning and buying across digital, audio, OOH, streaming, traditional and emerging channels
• Experience with ad trafficking via CM360/DCM
• Familiarity with brand lift study partners (e.g. Disqo, Upwave), and brand safety partners (DoubleVerify, IAS)
• Familiar with industry planning tools such as Comscore, Kantar or Adviews, AdRelevance or Pathmatics, and MRI/Simmons/Scarborough data
• Self starter, ability to work with a high level of independence and attention to detail
• Natural collaborator with great negotiation and communication skills
• High proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and Google Workspace
• Experience with Google Analytics/Omniture and Basis, a plus
