Finance Associate

The Finance Associate supports EMP's financial operations, assisting the VP Finance with expense tracking, reimbursement processing, and financial reporting throughout the year.

Time Commitment: 5–7 hours per week during regular program periods; 6–8 hours per week during event weeks with reimbursement processing.

• Terms of Employment: October 2026 — April 2027
• Key Responsibilities: Support budget tracking and help maintain accurate records of actual vs budgeted expenses
• Assist with processing AMS reimbursements for the team
• Help coordinate vendor payments
• Maintain organized financial documentation and records
• Support the VP Finance in preparing financial updates for exec meetings
• Assist with financial planning across events and initiatives

Qualifications: Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills

• High attention to detail and reliability
• Comfort with budgeting, tracking, and reconciliation
• Interest in finance, accounting, or operations
• Ability to work with financial documentation and processes
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
