Staff Accountant

We're looking for a Staff Accountant to support our day-to-day accounting operations and help keep our financial processes accurate and efficient. Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Support day-to-day full cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Assist with the monthly financial close process, including preparing journal entries, monthly accruals, and reconciling data from various sources and platforms to the general ledger to ensure accuracy
• Reconcile bank statements and corporate credit cards monthly
• Collaborate with the accounting/finance team and cross-functional teams to maintain, improve, and support accounting processes
• Assist with preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements, including flux analysis, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
• Assist with ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as needed
• Provide any additional support as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2-4 years of relevant experience working in accounting or finance departments
• Solid understanding of US GAAP principles, internal controls, and month-end close processes
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of Google Suite
• Familiarity with spend management platforms such as Bill.com, Expensify, or RAMP is a plus
• Power BI experience is a plus
• Experience with Shopify and ERP systems (NetSuite is a plus)
