Senior Mechanical Engineer | Kansas City, MO

IMEG is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Kansas City, MO, to lead large, highly complex projects as a project manager or lead engineer with minimal support required from senior staff. In this role, you will work closely with a team of engineers and consultants to provide project direction, engineering solutions, and advice to clients—delivering positive outcomes through project management, engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of mechanical systems for the vertical building industry.

You will also support project budget expectations, lead mentoring efforts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.

Principal Responsibilities

Lead design efforts for the analysis of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems, including creating detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards

Perform site assessments and develop detailed analysis and technical reports

Partner with clients to understand needs, gather requirements, communicate technical information effectively, and build/maintain client relationships through professional communication
