Advanced Practice Provider, Comprehensive Gynecology at University of Chicago | LAYIQ

Education: Advanced nursing degree from an accredited school/college of nursing.
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc.
Licenses and Certifications for Advanced Practice Nurse: Current Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) license in the State of Illinois or eligibility to receive by start date.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois or eligibility to receive by start date.
Licenses and Certifications for Physician Assistant: Current Physician Assistant license/registration in the State of Illinois or eligibility to receive by start date.
Certification from the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) by start date.
Preferred Competencies
Demonstrated clinical competency with effective leadership and teaching skills.
Ability to conduct physical examinations and perform health assessments.
Ability to interview patients and obtain accurate medical information.
Ability to provide direct patient care in a professional, respectful, and compassionate manner.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology and clinical practices.
Ability to perform detailed work and manage multiple concurrent tasks, including with occasional interruptions.
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.

Willingness to enter into a written collaborative agreement with a collaborating physician upon hire.
Once licensed and as needed, willingness to apply for a controlled substance license and DEA number.
Willingness to be privileged and credentialed through the University of Chicago Medical Staff Office prior to start date.
Working Conditions
Clinical setting.
Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting during patient assessments, procedures, and operating room assistance.
May require participation in on-call or after-hours coverage depending on clinical service needs.
Regular use of computers, electronic health records, and other medical equipment for documentation and patient care.
Travel to offsite clinics as needed.
