Essential Job Duties:
Essential job duties vary depending on the course, but may include:
- Preparing lectures
- Creating assignments
- Holding office hours
- Grading course materials
- Specific duties will be defined at the time of hire by the supervisor.
- Conditions of Employment: Pre-employment criminal background check (required for new hires)
- Supervision: This position reports to the Department Chair of Sociology.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree.
- A master’s degree in Sociology, Criminology, or related field.
- U.S. work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in Sociology or related field, is preferred.
- Experience teaching courses in Sociology or Criminology.
- Demonstrated commitment to, and evidence of, excellence in teaching the area of Sociology or Criminology.
