About the Opportunity
Job Summary
The Northeastern University Health and Counseling Services (UHCS) Counselor and Psychotherapist provides psychological counseling services to Northeastern University students, including psychological evaluation, crisis intervention, and brief psychotherapy. The Counselor and Psychotherapist may also engage in outreach activities to the Northeastern University community and collaborate with various support services within the University.
The Counselor and Psychotherapist makes appropriate referrals for psychopharmacological evaluation and ongoing counseling in the local community, and for referral to emergency mental health services when appropriate. Time spent across the various clinical service activities may shift in proportion to changes in service demands at any given time of the year.
