Certified Athletic Trainer (Washburn University) - Rehab Administration - FT - Day at Stormont-Vail HealthCare | LAYIQ

Prevention, recognition, evaluation and immediate care, rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletic injuries.
Incorporate use of modalities such as mechanical stimulation, heat, cold, light, air, water, electricity, sound, massage and the use of therapeutic exercises and reconditioning exercise.
Provide athletic training coverage of assigned athletic events to include evening and weekend events.
Pre-game/practice taping and preparation.
Maintain accurate records of injuries and treatments.
Make appropriate referrals for injured student athletes.
Act as a liaison between physicians, Washburn University, athletes and their parents/coaches.
Present educational programs for coaches, educators, parent groups, medical groups and civic organizations.
Travel Requirements
50% Will require travel for coverage of Washburn University games as part of our sports medicine agreement.
