JOB DESCRIPTION:
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) assists in providing a safe, fun, and supportive environment where individuals with a mental illness or addiction gain confidence, build social skills, and engage in learning and leisure activities with peers. The CPRS will achieve the program goal and operation through various job duties to include actively facilitating groups and activities on recovery topics.
The CPRS assists clients with articulating personal goals for recovery; assisting participants in determining reasonable and holistic steps in recovery; and identifying barriers to recovery goals.
