Bachelor of Science in engineering or related field
5+ years of related automotive work experience in high-volume, precision processes
Knowledge of die casting and PLC systems and programming
Knowledge of robots (Fanuc, Yaskawa Motoman, etc.)
Machine, valve, and vacuum systems knowledge
Position Duties and Responsibilities / Time Spent
Provide engineering support to production departments : 30%
Interact with production departments to develop and improve manufacturing : 20%
Identify, coordinate and recommend cost savings and efficiency ideas: 15%
Schedule and coordinate timely preventive maintenance of equipment : 15%
Produce reports to show impact of activities and attend meetings as required : 10%
Support cross-training efforts by providing guidance and direction: 5%
Other duties as assigned: 5%

Designs, implements, tests and evaluates manufacturing processes and system improvements

Intermediate experience required in Windows and MSWord
Intermediate experience preferred with AutoCAD and/or CATIA
Essential to Job Functions – Physical and/or Mental Restrictions: Ability to work for extended periods of time while sitting
Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the workday
Ability to lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds
Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen
