Staff Archaeologist III – Lab Analyst, Lithic Specialist
Braun Intertec is seeking a Staff Archaeologist III, Lab Analyst, based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to serve as a Lithic Specialist supporting cultural resources projects throughout the Southeastern United States. This laboratory-focused position is responsible for leading lithic analysis, interpretation, and documentation of archaeological collections, while supporting artifact processing, reporting, and curation. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with Southeastern U.S.
archaeological materials and will provide technical expertise, maintain high-quality artifact data, and mentor junior laboratory staff.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Lead lithic analysis, including artifact identification, classification, technology, raw material, and chronological or cultural interpretation.
