Job Description
The Opportunity
The Engineering Fundamentals Department in the College of Engineering, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida is seeking to fill a visiting position at the Assistant Professor level. The department seeks a candidate who can contribute to the department’s expertise in teaching first- and second-year engineering courses. The anticipated start date for this visiting appointment is January, 2027 .
Primary responsibility will be teaching. Assigned teaching workload will be 4 + 4. Typical class size is 24 students. Service and research are not responsibilities for this position.
Candidates must hold a master’s degree in engineering; preference will be given to candidates who also hold a terminal degree i n any area of engineering . Candidates must be capable of teaching one or more first- or second-year general engineering courses, specifically Introduction to Engineering Design, Introductory Computer Programming (i.e., MATLAB), or Engineering Graphics (i.e., CATIA or SolidWORKS).
