Student Achievement Specialist, GEAR UP | Moses Lake High School (Moses Lake, WA)

Washington State University Tri-Cities GEAR UP program is now accepting applications for a Student Achievement Specialist (SAS) at Moses Lake High School . As an SAS you will provide student mentoring and will monitor and collect student data for assessment and reporting requirements. You will be responsible for increasing GEAR UP students’ engagement in their education, positive academic behaviors, family connection to critical school-based information, and post-secondary access support for students and families.
The GEAR UP Program is federally funded by Department of Education grants whose purpose is to increase the number of low-income and underrepresented students who graduate from high school and successfully complete post-secondary education.
This is a full time (100 % FTE), temporary position . This position is overtime eligible .
This is an on-site/in-person role , with a work location in Moses Lake, WA.
Temporary End Date: This is a temporary position is expected to end on July 31, 2027 .
Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.
Monthly Salary: $4,152.19 per month
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 , the above salary reflects the full salary for this position.

Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.
The two years of professional experience must be in student services, specifically providing instruction or direct outreach services to students and/or working with parents in individual or group settings, or related education/experience.
Proficiency in the use of computers and MS Office software programs Excel, Outlook, Word.
Location: Moses Lake, WA
