Wesleyan University has approximately 2,900 undergraduate and 100 graduate students. The office of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) provides comprehensive mental health services to support the psychological and emotional well-being of Wesleyan students . CAPS operates weekdays from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM with limited evening appointments, as well as 24/7 clinician access through an on-call rotation.
CAPS utilizes a community health model that integrates clinical services with prevention, education, consultation, training for the students, and outreach to the broader campus community.
Reporting to the Director of CAPS, the psychotherapist provides individual and group psychotherapy to students presenting with a broad range of mental health and emotional concerns. The position also contributes to clinical assessment and risk management, consultation, outreach and prevention programming, and the training and supervision of clinical trainees.
