Provides individualized diabetes self-management education/ training to individuals and groups according to the Scope of Practice, Standards of Practice, and Standards of Professional performance for Diabetes Educators (AADE, 2005).
The Diabetes educator RN provides diabetes self-management education/ training to individuals and groups according to the ADA SOC for Diabetes and Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists standards. The Registered Nurse is a member of the interdisciplinary team working in the out-patient diabetes education program. Responsibilities:
