Emery Sapp & Sons is seeking a hardworking and safety-focused Concrete Substation Laborer to support the construction of electrical substations and related infrastructure projects. This position is responsible for assisting crews with site preparation, excavation support, concrete foundation work, form setting, rebar installation, and general labor activities required for substation construction. The ideal candidate is dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with substation construction activities, including concrete foundations, equipment pads, trenches, and structural installations
- Support crews with site preparation, grading, excavation support, and material handling
- Assist with setting, bracing, and stripping concrete forms
- Install and tie reinforcing steel (rebar) according to project specifications
- Support concrete placement, consolidation, finishing, and curing activities
