Manager, Clinical Education and Nursing Professional Development at Overlake Medical Center | LAYIQ

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership for nursing education programs, student programming, life support and clinical practice.
Align clinical practice, education, and professional development with organizational goals.
Promote a culture of lifelong learning, clinical excellence, and accountability.
Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and state regulatory standards.
Maintain competency readiness for accreditation and regulatory surveys.
Lead quality improvement initiatives integrating education and practice change.
Develop and manage budgets for operations and education programs.
Monitor labor productivity, education program costs, and resource utilization.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or staff development.
Partner with ancillary departments to identify gaps, propose evidence-based solutions through practice and education and support change management delivery.
Collaborate with academic institutions and external partners (if applicable).
Serve on committees related to quality, education, and clinical practice.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Master’s degree in Nursing Education or Healthcare Leadership (MSN) required.
Professional Licensure/Certification/Registration : Current Washington State Registered Nurse license. Certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC) and specialty certification strongly preferred.
Experience : A minimum of five years clinical nursing experience.
Three years experience in nursing education, staff development, or clinical training.
Three years of nursing leadership experience preferred.
Experience with developing and implementing clinical education programs for hospital/acute care setting required. Expertise in adult learning principles, competency design and professional development frameworks highly desired.
Demonstrated leadership, project management and change management skills preferred. Experience with accreditation and academic partnerships preferred.
