Position Purpose:
Online Data Architect teams at The Home Depot coordinate with key stakeholders to determine data collection needs and write technical specs to support the translation of business requirements into databases, data warehouses, and data streams.
They work closely with engineers to ensure the internal customer’s data needs are captured. They analyze, plan, and define data architecture framework, including security, reference data, metadata, and master data. Data Architects create and implement data management processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
The Online Data Architect position manages complex processes related to the development of advanced analytics to support the company's strategic objectives. The role works cross-functionally with business partners from Merchandising, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Online and IT to design and implement data analytics, tools, and new visibility/reporting capabilities.
