Medical Assistant - Primary Care

Job Description​

Saint Luke’s Health System Primary Clinics are looking for a Medical Assistant (CMA) to be an integral part of our provider team that delivers high quality patient-centered medical care to our community.  This position is responsible for assisting providers in the evaluation, management and delivery of professional medical care in a busy multi-specialty physician practice.  This position is located at the Mission Farms clinic in Overland Park, KS and is full time Monday-Friday, with no holidays.

Specific duties include

·          Provide an excellent patient experience by managing the flow of patients, providing excellent customer service, establishing rapport with patients and maintaining a professional demeanor.

• ·          Conduct Pre-visit plans, room patients and obtain vitals
• ·          Phlebotomy as needed
• ·          Administer injections and coordinate vaccines
• ·          Assist providers with procedures
• ·          Utilize the EMR system and scan/download documents

·          Complete various administrative tasks as needed such as prior authorizations, RX refills, etc.

• ·          Conduct telephone screening (with protocols)
• ·          Cover front office responsibilities as needed
• ·          Travel between Saint Luke’s Multispecialty clinic locations may be required
