IT Senior Engineer, Software (Eversource Energy Service Company) (Berlin, CT): Involved in the entire lifecycle of products, including capital projects and operational support; Proactively identify issues, problem solve and implement workable solutions; Engage directly with IT management, software development teams, technical product support teams, IT architecture and security, and external vendors to ensure the successful design, development, and delivery of technology-based solutions; Make improvements of processes, systems or
products to enhance performance of work area; Provide measurable input to new products, processes, or standards in operational plans to implement business strategies; Make software design decisions, identifying potential issues, tradeoffs, risks, and the appropriate level of abstraction; Navigate and make legacy code maintainable; Add scripts to simplify developer onboarding; and Work emergency restoration assignment as required.
In order to complete the above-mentioned tasks, the following skills and experience are required: Experience developing with Agile and DevOps methodologies; Experience supporting Maximo; Experience supporting SAP Ariba application or integrations between Ariba and platforms like Maximo; Experience with Ariba Network and Ariba Sourcing; Experience supporting ETL integrations (WebMethods / Informatica); Experience programming with Java and Python; Experience with J2EE application server (e.g., WebSphere Application Server); Experience
