Tax Manager at Fortna | LAYIQ

Lead Global reporting of income taxes pursuant to US GAAP principles under ASC740 including leading communications with the global controller, external auditors and senior management with support from external service providers.
Ensure the integrity of tax data used for external reporting, management reporting and forecasting for projections related to the Company's effective tax rate. This includes quarterly and year end reporting, as well as periodic effective tax rate forecasts as needed.
Primary responsibility for managing the preparation and review of global tax returns that are prepared by an external service provider. The role also includes management of cash taxes and tax account reconciliations.
Oversee the indirect tax function, which includes state income tax, sales and use tax, property tax, franchise and other business taxes, as well as VAT, GST and other international taxes.
Actively monitor changes to US and foreign tax laws and regulations in order to determine the financial statement impact.
Manage the coordination of SOX reporting and controls, including working with tax and other finance personnel to update and maintain the tax department policies and procedures for all income tax processes.
Manage global transfer pricing policies and documentation.
Manage the co-sourcing and outsourcing relationships with our external service providers.
Knowledge, Education, Certification, Skills & Technical Proficiencies
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution. CPA certification, Master's Degree in Taxation and/or J.D. / LL.M. (taxation) is preferred
Significant background in US GAAP, SEC reporting and Sarbanes Oxley 404 rules for a global multinational company as well as strong knowledge of domestic/international, state/local tax laws, rules and regulations
Ability to develop, implement, and sustain "Best Practices" for internal controls for tax provision to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy
You have 10+ years' experience, minimum 4 with large multinational corporations, significant experience with US domestic and international tax compliance and financial reporting, 2+ years as lead for tax provision accounting
