The Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) oversees pharmacy operations, ensures compliance with SOPs, state and federal regulations, and supervises pharmacists and technicians. The PIC achieves production goals, assists with investigations and daily tasks, monitors training status, and serves as the main contact for regulatory agencies. Responsibilities include oversight of sterile and non-sterile compounding, adherence to USP standards (, , ), and maintaining professional and legal compliance.
COMPLIANCE
Represent the facility in all state and federal regulatory audits, visits, and communication.
Ensure full compliance with Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA, and USP regulations.
Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulatory agencies.
Understanding of the importance/impact of USP standards.
Maintain state pharmacy license(s)
TRAINING
