Education and/or Experience: A graduate from high school or a general education degree is required.
Language Skills and Abilities: Present information and respond clearly and understandably to questions from supervisor, staff, students, and the public.
Read and interpret procedures, policies, and regulations, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Reasoning Ability: Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of non-standard situations.
Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current Alaska Driver’s License
Preferred Skills and Abilities: Iñupiaq speaking, language & culture experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in the production and service of palatable school meals.
Participate in storage, clean up, and safety tasks
Operate the food service vehicles to deliver food and staff to and from the school sites.
Expedite incoming and outgoing food to locations as required.
Process incoming freight and check necessary paperwork.
Lift and stock freight in appropriate storage areas. Keep all storage areas neat and clean.
Keep all storage areas neat and clean.
Operate a pallet jack for positioning pallets of food.
Lift 70 pounds.
Perform such other tasks and assume other responsibilities as the supervisor may assign.
Adhere to all District policies and regulations.
