About the Hospital :
Blodgett is an ever-growing, 330-bed acute care teaching hospital located in East Grand Rapids. Originally founded in 1846, Blodgett has continued to grow and evolve to meet the needs of the community. As a Level III trauma campus with a large annual surgical volume, we are equipped to care for a wide range of acute care patients. We offer numerous specialty units that provide care unique to Blodgett in Grand Rapids, including Total Joint Replacement, a Primary Stroke Center, Acute Care of the Elderly, and Bariatric Surgery.
With units ranging from 20 to 24 beds, we foster close-knit teams while still providing highly specialized acute care. Our inpatient nursing units also partner with our discharge lounge and virtual nursing teams housed at Blodgett, as well as 24/7 hospital supervisor and security support. Recently, we welcomed external partner sites for Meijer Pharmacy and Starbucks. This fall, we will also offer on-site parking to all team members.
