About the unit
4D is a 22 bed Medical-Surgical unit at Blodgett Hospital that offers comprehensive care for a diverse range of general medical and surgical patients in a collaborative and supportive environment. Employees are attracted to our Med/Surg units for the variety of patient cases and strong sense of teamwork, allowing them to develop expertise in managing a wide array of medical and surgical conditions.
Our unit cares for patients with nasogastric tubes, urinary catheters, enteral and parenteral feeding needs, wounds, tubes, drains, some post-operative recovery, chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension, and infectious diseases requiring isolation and specialized care.
