Materials Associate- ED

Overview

Performs duties that involve identifying equipment needed for direct patient or support functions, adequately storing and maintaining clinical equipment and care and setup of equipment to support patient care. All duties are performed within prescribed timeframes and according to departmental policies and procedures. Participates as a member of the Emergency Department, contributes to a positive work environment, and demonstrates an ongoing commitment to excellent customer service and high quality work performance at all times.

Supports the development of programs that support the management of ED equipment and facilities in order to drive maximum availability, utilization and clinical staff satisfaction. Collaborates with Nursing leadership, Engineering department and outside vendors in the delivery and coordination of equipment and facilities services. Has responsibility for ensuring availability of an appropriate inventory of functional and up to date equipment to support the clinical operations.
